The FLOT^® system is also ideal for outdoor paving, as it provides an easy and functional solution to some common problems:

• easy, quick and clean laying (no need for a bed)
• resistance to humidity and frost
• it is no longer necessary to lay a second protective cement membrane over the bed
• uniform, flat laying over the whole surface, thus avoiding unattractive separation joints; the tiles can be laid with a 2/5-mm joint and a flat surface is ensured by the drainage slopes being built in the floor
• as there are no settling times, there is no risk of water leaking into the bed, the surface coming away or saline efflorescence.
• easy maintenance procedures if required: the FLOT system allows work to be carried out on the protective membranes or floors by simply lifting the panels by hand, thus avoiding demolition and repair costs
• it is possible to place or inspect the pipes and cables even after the flooring has been laid
• the flooring can be laid on top of an existing floor
• in the case of terraces or treadable roofs, it allows underfloor ventilation, thus improving heat insulation in the warm seasons.

The frame for outdoor use consists of a fully-recyclable PP support, able to withstand temperatures from -30°C to +120°C and resistant to acids, ageing and UV rays.
Feet are classified according to their size:

• 0 to 14 SE allows a millimetric adjustment range from 28 to 550 mm. This is very useful, as it makes it possible to carry out the millimetric adjustment from above after laying the slabs as long as the joint is wider than 4 mm (the wrench can be inserted into the joint). When the 2-mm joint is preferred for aesthetic reasons, it is necessary to lift one of the four tiles lying on the foot and work with said wrench; the self-leveling head can balance a maximum slope of 5%
• 1 to 5 NM allows a millimetric adjustment range from 25 to 270 mm. Also in this case, it is possible to carry out the millimetric adjustment from above after laying the slabs, as long as the joint is wider than 4 mm (the wrench can be inserted into the joint). The slope can be balanced out by the TW110 disc, with steps of 1%.
• Start.T has an adjustable height from 10 to 30 mm.

SE adjustable height supports are made of polypropylene and rubber. This type of support guarantees a superior installation compared with all the other supports since it is possible to lay the floor at the desired height without using shims or external elements. Thanks to the oscillating head it is possible to compensate for the inclination of the support up to the 5%. The SE series ranges from a minimum of 37 mm to a maximum of 550 mm. Its heads feature white rubber injections that guarantee the perfect adhesion of the tiles to the support, thus preventing floor creaks due to foot traffic. These heads have standard 4 mm tabs that, upon demand, can be adjusted to 3 mm or 2 mm; for special installations, the heads can be delivered flat, without tabs. The regulation can be carried out from above, thus allowing the adjustment of possible floor settlements afterwards, with no need to remove tiles, provided that the floor has been laid with a 4 mm joint.

NM adjustable height supports are made of polypropylene and rubber. Compared with fixed height supports, they offer a millimetric adjustment range, thanks to which the floor can be installed at the desired height. The NM series ranges from a minimum of 25 mm to a maximum of 270 mm. Its heads feature white rubber injections that guarantee the perfect adhesion of the tiles to the support, thus preventing floor creaks due to foot traffic. These heads have standard 4 mm tabs that, upon demand, can be adjusted to 3 mm or 2 mm; for special installations, the heads can be delivered flat, without tabs. The regulation can be carried out from above, thus allowing the adjustment of possible floor settlements afterwards, with no need to remove tiles, provided that the floor has been laid with a 4 mm joint.
